Penny and Brett Forbes Wedding Photography

I love to feature everyone on my blog, the problem is (and its not a bad one) is that I am super busy and agonise over my blog. So in an effort to do everyone justice and show a little piece of their wedding story I will be posting lots more, of old and new mixed in together to be fair.

So this is Penny + Brett. I like her a lot… I sometimes take pretty pictures for Penny’s company Woolerina who make, manufacture and design amazing AUSTRALIAN wool clothes, particularly good for right now as its freezing here! I also take pictures of her little girl Abby and take pictures for her friends getting married or her freinds magazines…. (Hello Jac) So I do like her alot…but primarily because she is awesome.

These lovely two were married in Forbes NSW last year right in the middle of the floods in NSW…. Poor Penny, she had planned this amazing wedding on her parents property which sits right on the banks of the Lachlan River. Alas, venue number one was flooded, so option two was put into to full swing with about 24 hours to the big day. If anyone was going to pull this off with a cool head and not turn into godzilla of brideziallas it was Penny. Another reason why I like her alot. Enjoy x

This is Brett, I like him too. Penny likes him alot..

I must have said something funny..I try!

Truly my favorite pair of shoes in the whole world are my Hunters, I had mine on underneath my dress too.

Penny…. I like her Dad, Warwick too.

Warick where are your boots?

So venue number two…is…The Forbes Rugby Club… Ceremony…in front of the male change rooms. Really, you have to do what you have to do when faced with extreme weather situations. Again, note how calm she is about it all.

Even though its bloody windy and raining!

Aww little Abby…

So as the flood waters rose and rose around venue option number two we thought we would test out those boots.

I do believe this bridge was covered by the end of the evening.

With the right attitude, we can can make any toilet block wall look great….

And reason number 756 why I like Penny alot, she baked every guest a yummy treat!

Truly….even under the worst of circumstances, you have to remember that your family, your friends and most importantly the man you love is standing before you to celebrate the beginning of many beautiful things and the continuation of others….even if you are outside a toilet.

Love you Pen + Brett.

Yes, the lovely Lucy and Ashley…. A beautiful couple from Sunny Canberra ACT. The Conrons and Hoolihan families welcomed us on a fine day on the lawns of Old Parliament House. I was especially lucky to be joined by gorgeous wedding photographer Holly Bradford as my second photographer (much girlie antics going on all day) What an amazing backdrop with gorgeous gardens, trees and and of course the buildings! And Lucy and Ash completely smitten with each other. This is their wedding day story..

Dalkeith Harvest Photography

Meet the Wright Family. They invited me out to their beautiful property “Dalkeith” in country NSW to capture their harvest in full swing. We had the perfect day with an amazing sky and sunset just screaming to be photographed. I was very excited at the prospect of capturing the landscape but also to document a harvest in motion. Enjoy.

Isn’t it incredible to see how much the landscape changes in colour as the light leaves us.

Oh stop it! We are so blessed with amazing sunsets here in Country NSW.

Hope you enjoyed x Denise (remember no farmers no food)

Wendy and Chris Forbes Wedding Photography

Wendy and Chris, married, in love and on the blog looking fantastic! (About time she says!)

One, not so fine spring day we ventured to Forbes for Wendy and Chris’ wedding. The day began with a very umbrella freindly vibe, so we took Chris into the haven of all man caves… the shed. It was dry, filled with tools and beer so all was well.

After he shed it was lovely to check into the girls space and see some femmininity going on. Wendy is the picture of all things gorgeous and femnine.

With Ma and Pa Quade.

See…

Love Wendy’s beautiful dress, simple, elegant and just a little bit of bling.

After much fun with the ladies, we headed to St Laurences for a beautiful ceremony. We were greeted by a little doorman. Hope I have my ID.

Wendy and Cherie, here comes the bride!

Love finding random backyard sheds in laneways. We did the ask the owners I promise. Loving the green doors and the matching guttering… :)

And country laneways, long grass and a beautiful couple that cant stop looking at each other.

The party must go on and Eat Your Greens was the beautiful outdoor venue….and not an umbrella needed!

Wendy and Chris, I love these pictures, a perfect day. You made everything so effortless, casual and chic. Not getting lost in all the fluff and concentrating on why you are here and in this moment.

x Denise and Michael (cheers!)
