Belgium Beer and a Beautiful Bride – April 4, 2009
I was a little excited when I met the lovely Julia and her man James. Not only were they such an amazing couple but the reception venue was to be at the Belgium Beer Cafe in the city. What a fantastic place for a chilled out reception, and it didn’t disappoint.
The day began at Julia’s Mum and Dad’s house (Kate and Tony) before heading off to the beautiful St Brigid’s Church, Red Hill. This was my first time to shoot in the church and it has amazing light and a wonderful feel.
Mickey was on second shooter duties with me and produced some great shots.
Just to let you know, Julia told me on our first meeting that she was very coy about having her photo taken. I will just let these pictures speak for themselves…..

Hello beautiful bride! Can i just say that this dress has some serious sass to it.

Julia looking just breath-taking.

Hello ladies….Julia with Jane, Katherine and Kristen (who kept me in stitches all day)

A beautiful moment with Muma Kate, you can see where Julia gets it from.

Mickey and I left the ladies to their last minute preparations to meet up with James and the lads Ben, Scott and Matthew.

James was looking very dapper in his chocolate brown pinstripe suit. Very cool.

A great shot from Mickey.

Ohhh!!!! So lovely, my tears were well and truly flowing by now.

The gorgeous St Brigid’s and an amazing sky

Julia and I met a few days beforehand to find some groovy street- scapes on the way to the Belgium. We certainly made the most of some Brisbane architecture, starting with some old school stairs and the Stamford Plaza.

I love a bit of cheekiness, especially with that fabulous dress!

How you doin?

Inside the Belgium Beer Bar, what a great venue! And what a fantastic couple. Thank you for letting me look after you.
Congratulations! x Denise
