A Bit of Island Love
Its been a little while between posts but there was a reason. How does one describe a wedding so gorgeous as this?
Welcome to Amanda and Damians’ glorious day. The setting: Lovely, lovely and laid back Magnetic Island. Amanda and Damian tracked me down from their home base in Sydney to look after them on their lovely May wedding day. The day started with a 3.00am start for moi to get up to Townsville and then onto Magnetic. A few coffees later I met up with Damian attended by his brother Daniel. Looking very, very cool in their wedding attire, “Island Style”

Damian is a bit of a natural in front of the camera. But I was about to meet his match.

I took my very cute little micra hire car over to the ocean side of the island to meet up with Amanda. The girls were getting ready at one of the most maginificent places I have ever seen “Lotus House” on Horseshoe Bay. I was greeted by a giant bright red marquee planted in the lavish gardens that surrounded the house. I knew this was going to be a photographers dream, especially when I met Amanda for the first time.

Oh my goodness, what a bride!

And a fabulous goddess-like dress.

Flanked by the ladies, all looking wonderful.

I couldn’t go past these stairs.

Off we walked a few 100 metres down the road to the beachside ceremony, which was filled with love and laughter from the Sydney crowd of around 40 guests who made the journey to help celebrate.

We left the guests to enjoy Lotus House and we headed off in our little Micras to explore the island. Mine was Pink!

I think Magnetic is a one of Australias most beautiful Islands, its has so many beautiful areas and natural wonders and the colours are just amazing.

And Amanda and Damian make it look even better.

A bit of action under the pier.

Inside of Lotus. Can you tell I love it?

The magnificent Red Tent.

We all enjoyed a wonderful night of fabulous food, hillarious speeches and some great dancing.

Thank you Amanda and Damian, what an honour to watch you celebrate your amazing union. You are truly blessed with a beautiful start to your marriage. It was great to catch up on Saturday! Here’s to more visits………
