Alisa and John and an amazing dress.
On a lovely late May day I was a lucky lady to be photographing the beautiful Alisa and her man John on their special day. I knew it would be a day filled with emotions when I met Alisa’s Mum Denise (nice name!) for the first time. I showed her my work from some previous weddings and she cried, then I cried, then I met Alisa and we all cried! For those who know me, you know this is nothing new as I generally have a tear at anything soppy. But nothing could prepare me for the site of Alisa in a breathtaking dress! But you will agree, she could wear a sack and look great.

Denise attending to Alisa, and a glimpse of this dress….It was very cool!

Meg from Style Fusion looked after Alisa and the girl’s hair and make-up and did a stellar job as always!

My camera loves Alisa.

I left Alisa at Paddington to see how John was fairing at St Johns Cathedral. No nerves in sight!

A final kiss from Daddy, and we are ready. The ceremony was conducted by Denise’s family priest Father Shaun from Adelaide. I have to say if only we could have Father Shaun for every wedding, he is a wonderful Irish man full of cheek and spunk!

Sealed with a kiss and a smile of absolute joy from both parents.

St Stephens is always a fabulous backdrop. We headed off to the Botanic Gardens for some nature.

A little bit of rain moved us to Customs House early which provided a great opportunity to take advantage of the incredible interior.

I am a bit fond of these shots.

A tender moment for Alisa and John.

A beautiful night came to an end but of course its only the beginning for these two. A truly beautiful wedding and a wonderful start to a long and happy life together. Thank you Alisa and John (and Denise!) I will have the tissues ready for the album….
x From the other Denise.
