Retro Glam @ The Powerhouse
It was a twist of fate that brought the lovely Jon and Hanna to my door. I am a big fan of divine intervention and the power of coincedence and I am the now biggest fan of these guys. Latrobe Chapel in Paddington and the Powerhouse were our venues for this groovy celebration. When I first sat down and chatted with Jon and Hanna and they told me about their retro-glam theme with a show at then end, I was super excited. This is my kinda day….We started out at Hanna’s Granparents house.

Oh Hanna, totally Glam! I was just in my element. Denae, you look fab too.

It was so hard to know which pictures to show you of Hanna, I love them all. Fabulously dressed by Bi Bowden Brides.

So I eventually had to drag myself away from Hanna to head over to the Chapel to check on Jon. Cool as a cucumber of course.

A big hug from Mum, awww!

Is this the face of a man who is about to marry? I love it!

Hanna’s gorgeous little sister Mackenzie lead the bridal party in.

Yay! We are married…I love this photo, so cute.

We headed off on our little road trip to the Powerhouse with a quick pit stop at a favorite location of mine in the city.

A bit of romance on the wall. But we dont need lots of affection here to see the bond between these two.

We arrived at the Powerhouse and had lost all of our light. But I LOVE to photograph at night, it is my favorite thing to do and a D3 helps of course.

I love these shots! Romantic and Gritty, the Powerhouse is at its best at night.

We headed up stairs to start the festivities. Little did the guests know that they had a a bit of a show ahead of them.

Instead of a traditional speech to thank everyone for coming and profess their love for each other, Hanna and Jon chose a Bobby Darin duet to express what they where thinking. I have to say, I thought they were just miming to start, man these guys can sing! I also learnt that they had been practising over skype and webcam as Jon recently moved to NZ. Dedication at its finest.

We had such a wonderful time and Jon and Hanna you are such a pleasure to look after, I could photograph you both all day and especially at night! I wish you both all the very best in your new life in NZ. Watch out for the sheep.
